Meet Big Ben - a cuddly lamb who came into the world at Manor Farm in Hoby weighing a whopping 20lbs.

The Suffolk breed is more than twice the size of the average newborn lamb.

He was quite an eye-opener for shepherd John Hendy and the farm’s part-owner Jean Morris, when he finally put in an appearance after a marathon three-hour birth.

“We’ve never had a lamb as big as him,” said Jean.

“They normally weigh 7-8lb so it was a huge surprise when we saw him.”

Big Ben is shown in our photo with farm helpers Beatrice Waters (15) and Amy Danaher.
