This is a free programme run over five weeks, during children’s PE time, with a final festival held at a local rugby club.

During the sessions Leicester Tigers community coaches work with pupils to develop and improve their rugby knowledge and ability in a fun and active environment, encouraging the children to lead healthy lifestyles and incorporating positive values that come from the Leicester Tigers training ground.

School pupil Sam said: “We played a lot of fun games and I learnt that if you make a wall, its harder for the opposition to score.”

Headteacher Anne Harvey added: “We’re now looking forward to the next sessions and the final festival, where we can show what we have learnt.”
