Professional Bollywood dance workshops and craft activities including Mendhi entertained the children.

Headteacher Trevor Marsden said: “It was lovely to see the teachers dressed in traditional Indian clothes and the children so engrossed in their art and craft activities.

“The understanding and enjoyment of the wonderful multi-cultural world in which we live is an important part of the ethos of this school and if it can be delivered in a lively and engaging way, then all the better.

“We’re already looking forward to next year.”
