Children at Long Clawson Primary were given a round of applause and a standing ovation after putting on an energetic school production titled ‘Porridge.’

Some thorough acting skills and eye catching costumes had friends and family captivated across two evenings.

Headteacher Cath Sinclair said: “The show ran for two nights in Long Clawson Village Hall and was a great success.

“Deep in the forest Papa Bear and his goat gangsters were planning on taking over the fast food industry with their stolen secret porridge recipe.

“After much ado and with help from the fairy tale folk, the plot was foiled and all ended as every good fairy tale should....Happy Ever After!”
