Thirteen geography students at MV16 are preparing for the trip of a lifetime by visiting Zambia and Botswana in July.

The students, who have just completed their A-Levels exams, raised the funds to go to Zambia and work in a community on the banks of the Zambezi River and Botswana to work in an endangered species sanctuary.

In Zambia, the group are likely to be making mud bricks so that the community can build a school and in Botswana, they will be helping to maintain fire-break and breeding-pens for the rhinos at the sanctuary.

The students will also be visiting the magnificent sight of the Victoria Falls and have a short safari visit to Chobe National Park.
