Around 75 students from Melton Vale Post 16 Centre (MV16) signed up to the Anthony Nolan register at the school’s annual health fair.

Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer by matching donors willing to give blood stem cells and bone marrow.

The event also featured information on sexual health, healthy eating, smoking, drug and alcohol abuse and cancer.

An MV16 spokesperson said: “The event was held to encourage students to learn how to look after themselves and live a healthier lifestyle.”

As well as Anthony Nolan exhibitors included Latham House, KOOTH, NHS Blood and Transplant, Melton Police, Turning Point, Leicester Sexual Health, Everyone Active and Leicester LGBT.
