Long Field Academy’s Year 11 stars of 2016 have delivered a gold medal performance all of their own in this Olympic year, says principal Chris Haggett.

Mr Haggett said: “We are over the moon with their results. The school has improved so much this year and we are delighted with our students’ achievement and the progress they have made.

“Special mention must be made to Sam Thomas and Harriet Parkinson who received all As and A*s in their results. We also want to pay particular tribute to the exceptional hard work of all of our staff who go above and beyond to make sure our students have every possible chance of success.
