Great Dalby Pre-School celebrates '˜good' Ofsted

A village pre-school has been hailed as '˜good' after an Ofsted inspection.

Great Dalby Pre-School, which operates from the village hall, was graded ‘good’ in all aspects.

Inspector Teresa Lester said: “Children are happy and relaxed within this welcoming pre-school. They form strong attachments with staff which helps them to settle quickly and enjoy their learning.”

She added: “Children make good progress in their learning and development. Staff provide stimulating and warm environments, both indoors and outdoors. Children enjoy a wide range of exciting learning experiences which takes account of their interests. Children are motivated to learn.”

Pre-school leader Emily Holt said: “We are delighted to have our hard work recognised and as we are building up a new staff team we couldn’t be happier.

“The inspector was very complimentary about the setting and our fabulous outdoor area which gives us the freedom to provide learning indoors and out in all weathers.

“Our aim is to provide a high quality, learning environment within a nurturing environment to enable our children to thrive and become independent, resilient and confident young people.

“As a charitable, parent run setting we work closely with all our families and enjoy sharing the in their children’s learning and development.”
