People are dancing in the streets of Melton tonight in celebration of Leicester City FC winning the Barclays Premier League.

The crowds of people partying in the road has led to police closing the A606 over safety concerns.

It comes as the Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur match ended in a 2-2 draw, handing the Foxes the Premier League title for the first time in the club’s history.

In a tweet, Melton Police said: “Perhaps going to be busy in Melton with the team in Town.”

Meanwhile, Jamie Vardy had his team-mates around to his Melton home to watch the game, attracting the attention of fans who gathered outside.
