Police arrest five on suspicion of supplying class A drugs after man’s body is found in Melton

Police are making enquiries into the sudden death of a man in Melton on Sunday (September 13)

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: “We were called by the ambulance service at 3.06pm to a report of a man found dead at a property in Staveley Road. Officers attended the location and enquiries are continuing to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding his death.

“A post-mortem examination has taken place and further forensic tests are being undertaken. Enquiries remain ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dc 2011 Chris Fox on 101.”

Two women, aged 20 and 30, and three men, aged 32, 38 and 46 have been arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
