A couple fear their beloved puppy was stolen the same day that one of their other dogs died on a vet’s operating table.

Twelve-week-old whippet, Keeper, went missing from the Waltham home of Chloe Truswell and Karl Lambley just after 2pm on Friday (April 17).

The couple, who searched for the missing pet until 4am in the morning, were already mourning the loss of Keeper’s aunty, Rosie.

Chloe said: “It was heart-breaking to lose Keeper on the same day. We think she has been taken and we are asking people to be on the lookout for her. We’ve had about 10,000 shares of our appeal on Facebook so we are hopeful we might get her back.”

Anyone who sees a whippet resembling the lost one, which is described as brown brindle with some white under her neck, is asked to call Chloe on 07807 062433.

Police have been contacted but a spokesperson said the couple had been told there was nothing they could do to help recover the animal.
