The second staging of Muston Festival raises thousands for village's community facilities

The weather did not deter hundreds of people from attending the second Muston Festival in June.

During the afternoon at Glebe House in Muston, visitors were entertained by Lisa Murray Dancer and the Waltham Scottish Country Dance Group.

Children were kept amused on the giant inflater assault course and strawberries and cream were served throughout the duration of the event.

Muston Church warden John Ives said: “The evening concert was a success despite a torrential downpour at 6pm.

“Among the artists appearing were Twelve to the Bar, Marl Farren, JP Unplugged, Alice Wong and Willie Voltaire.

“The whole event raised over £1,500 for St John the Baptist Church and The Old School (Community Centre).

“A huge thanks to everyone who took part on the day and who helped clear away the day after.”
