DOZENS of jobs are still available at supermarket giant Sainsburys - and you can find out more about them at Melton’s third jobs fair on August 28.
The supermarket will be making its final recruitment push for positions at the fair.
Its new store, in Nottingham Road, is due to be opened in the autumn.
Jobs which are still on offer include team leaders, general assistants and cashiers.
A total of 20 employers have signed up to attend the jobs fair, from 10am-3pm, at Melton Cattle Market banqueting suite, in Scalford Road.
Employers include con- struction agency GF Tomlin- son and car dealership Sandicliffe. Apprentice- ship providers Brooksby Melton College and Loughborough College will also attend the event.
The fair is aimed at all those who are currently unemployed and would particularly suit school leavers who have just received their A-Level or GCSE results.
Visitors are advised to come prepared, as they would do for an interview, with printed copies of their CV and smart dress.
Last year the event attracted nearly 800 people and event organiser Melton Council hopes that this year up to 1,000 people will attend.
Councillor Malise Graham MBE said: “Job fairs are extremely important for the local community as they show how providers and businesses are supporting local employment.
“For those seeking work they provides a unique opportunity to meet potential employers, with no pressure, in an informal setting that allows you to have those questions answered that are more difficult to ask in a formal interview setting.
“The council hosting the fair shows that employment is a key priority and that we are doing all we can to support residents.”
