Children’s fancy dress ball organised at weekend in aid of Kicks Count charity

An exciting children’s fancy dress ball has been organised on Saturday to raise funds for Kicks Count.

The charity event is to be held at Asfordby Amateurs Sports and Social Club, in Hoby Road, Asfordby. It is being held in memory of Harrison Robert Davies, who was sadly stillborn in 2008.

His mum and organiser Fay Davies said: “There will be a fancy dress competition, face painting, a sweet stall, a kids disco and entertainment, party games and a bouncy castle will be available at an additional charge.

“A couple of local businesses will also be holding stalls, including some delicious cakes and brownies from Mamma Mia Makes and ways to make yourself gorgeous with the ladies from Arbonne.”

A raffle has also been organised with some prizes including cinema tickets from Melton’s Regal Cinema, Twinlakes passes, Tesco gift vouchers, a meal for two at The Crown in Asfordby, treatment vouchers for Virtual Heaven Beauty, a hair cut at Ruby Red, vouchers for Buy a Gift, rail travel with Great Western Rail and prizes from Vinnies Butchers in Asfordby.

Entry is £2 per child and £1 per accompanying adult and the fun begins at 2-5pm.

Tickets can ben purchased on the day or in advance via Fay’s JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/Fay-Davies

To buy tickets online people should make the minimum donation to cover the cost of ticket and must leave a comment with their children’s names and ages.
