The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) is urging supporters in Melton to ‘Get

Together’ for Mother’s Day in support of their national sister service, the Children’s Air Ambulance.

The Children’s Air Ambulance is asking people all over the country to celebrate mums this month, while fundraising for their vital service.

From afternoon teas to coffee mornings, and cocktail parties to baby showers, the service is asking families and friends everywhere to hold fundraising events to keep hope alive for critically ill children and their families.

Each transfer the Children’s Air Ambulance service carries out costs approximately £2,800. As they receive no government funding, they rely entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising events.

The charity has put together a free fundraising pack to help people get their ‘Get Togethers’ off to a flying start.

To sign up for your pack, find your nearest charity shop at www.theairambulance.org.uk/get-involved/shopping and pick up a registration form, or visit www.thechildrensairambulance.org.uk/gettogether and complete the registration form there.
