Whissendine CE Primary School held a music evening that allowed pupils from across the year groups to perform to their parents.
Friends and family were treated to a concert which included singing, pianists, violinists, guitarists, bands, choirs, duos and more.
Children in year two up to year six presented a vast array of genres including the school’s rock band who sang the chart topper ‘Shake it off’, 90s pop-punk anthem ‘All the Small Things’ and alternative rock ballad ‘Good Riddance (Time of your life).’
The choir delivered a more classical piece with ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ and talented year five singers tackled pop song ‘The Show’ and contemporary musical theatre song ‘Quiet’ respectively.
Other performers included Joseph Atkinson on the alto saxophone, Matthew Miles on the clarinet and the visual spectacle of Barnaby Tuppen-Corps and Ben Dodson who played a percussive duet whilst sharing the same drum kit.
Teachers and staff said they were blown away by the standard of the performances.
