Creative Sherard Primary School pupils were challenged to put their art skills to the test as part of visit from members of the Melton Artists Group.

The school was visited by local tutors Kenneth Brammer, Stan Pearson and Barry Lovell who helped participants create some wonderful paintings of animals, flowers and self-portraits.

Pupil Erin Enright said: “The art project was amazing fun and I learnt lots from working with all three local artists.”

The children’s work is now on display in school and at Melton railway station.

Those who took part included: Erin Enright, Danny Chakravorty, Olivia Wright, Jocelyn Shippey, Neve Thornton, Amelia Williams, Darcie Jackson, Leah Adams and Ellis Fletcher.
