A village farm is celebrating after scooping a coveted Quality Food Award for their lemon curd yoghurt at a
prestigious ceremony in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
Peter and Cheryl Holmes, of Manor Farm, Thrussington, said they were ‘still a little bit dumbstruck’ at the success of their product which beat off strong competition from own label varieties entered by Tesco, Asda, Marks & Spencer and the Co-op.
At the end of the Quality Food Awards ceremony, on November 5, the highly acclaimed ‘Gold Q’ shortlist was announced, bringing together all of the night’s category winning products.
And the Thrussington business had more cause to celebrate after Manor Farm’s lemon curd yoghurt was announced as ‘highly commended’, putting it in joint second place overall.
Peter and Cheryl said: “It’s an amazing honour for us to win this award. We’re still a little dumbstruck at
the success of our product but we couldn’t be happier.”
