Cookery students work with top chef

Professional cookery students from Brooksby Melton College will be helping to give diners a luxury experience tonight in the new rural catering centre on Asfordby Road.

They will work alongside award-winning Ragdale Hall executive head chef, David Ross, and assistant restaurant manager, Luke Carr.

David is used to leading a team of chefs to provide meals in Ragdale’s dining hall and he will be passing on valuable tips and advice to the students.

During the evening, Level 2 students, focusing on the food and beverage service element of their qualification, will be waiting-on ‘front of house’ with Luke.

To make the evening extra special, customers will also be treated to a mini hand massage on arrival by former Brooksby beauty therapy student Holly Quinn, who won Ragdale Hall’s 2015 Student of Excellence competition and who now works there.

She will be accompanied tonight by her colleague from the spa, who is also a former Brooksby student, Alice Tunnaley.
