The Teenage Market is a growing nationwide initiative set up by teenage brothers Joe and Tom Barratt in Stockport as a way to support local young people and transform town centres. The energy and diversity of the young people involved has helped rejuvenate town centres and market areas.

The Teenage Market returns to Melton on Saturday, June 18, 10am to 4pm, in the Market Place.

Town centre manager and business improvement district (BID) manager Shelagh Core said: “Melton’s first Teenage Market last September was a huge success, with creative market stalls and live music and entertainment throughout the day. It’s a great opportunity for young people aged 13-21 to showcase their products and talents for free.”
