Community radio station 103 The Eye still going strong seven years on

l The station’s schedule of shows runs from 7am until the early hours on weekdays and 6am until late at the weekend.

l It currently has listeners in America, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and mainland Europe.

l As well as broadcasting from its Melton studio, the station also receives input from a number of other studios in the area.

l Local musicians and bands are invited to play live in the Melton studio.

l Some of its presenters have gone on to work for commercial radio stations and the BBC while other established presenters have joined the station.

l The station’s community role also extends to its participation in Melton’s revitalised Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

l The station has developed links with Brooksby Melton College, Long Field School in Melton and Candleby Lane School in Cotgrave which currently produces a school programme aired on Sundays.
