Electrician Wayne Hazeldine is preparing to cycle 100 miles to raise £600 for a charity which supports fellow asthma sufferers.

Wayne (49), who lives in Scalford Road, Melton, is taking part in the Prudential Surrey 100 ride early next month in aid of Asthma UK.

He is seeking sponsorship from individual and businesses.

Wayne said: “Being an asthma sufferer since I was around 17-years-old, I wanted to help others with the condition.

“Most of my family have been asthma sufferers, especially my father, who passed away in 1996.”

Anyone who would like to sponsor Wayne, who has also completed the 50-mile Pork Pie Pedal, can do so by going online at www.justgiving.com/WayneHazeldine
