Asfordby school kids get inspired by Roald Dahl
Children at Asfordby Captains Close Primary School dressed up as their favourite character from a Roald Dahl book in order to celebrate 100 years since his birth.
Pupils had a fun-filled day of learning using his books as a stimulus. Characters the children wore outfits of included Matilda, Willy Wonka and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Headteacher Julia Hancock said: “The children took part in creative writing and our library leaders arranged lunchtime activities.
“It was an amazing day and everyone looked fantastic in their different costumes.”
