The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) was called to Melton this morning (Wednesday) after a man suffered a cardiac arrest.

The air ambulance was activated at 9.43am and arrived at the scene of the emergency at 9.57am, landing in the Tuxford and Tebbutt car park on Thorpe End

A DLRAA spokeswoman said: “A man believed to be in his 70s had suffered a collapse. A community first responder and East Midlands Ambulance Service were already at the scene. The air ambulance crew assisted them in stabilising the patient before joining the land ambulance crew to assist transporting him to Leicester Royal Infirmary.

“The patient’s current condition is unknown.”
