THURSDAY 4PM: Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was pushed off her bike in Melton.
The incident happened at about 12.20pm last Thursday when the 47-year-old victim was riding through Melton Country Park, Wymondham Way.

As she was riding along the path she saw a man and a woman walking towards her. She continued to ride along the path but along one side, so she could pass the pair.

As she rode past them the man pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground. He then shouted at her for riding on the path to which the victim replied that it was also a cycle path. The man then walked away.

Pc Grant Hebblewhite, the officer investigating the incident, said: "The victim may not have received any injuries but the whole experience was quite frightening and she felt threatened by the man."

The man is described as white, aged in his fifties and about 5ft 2ins tall. He was wearing a dark blue fleece, blue denim jeans and a black woolly hat.

The woman he was with is described as white, about 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build and aged in her late thirties.

She had long dark hair and was wearing a blue jacket, blue trousers and a light coloured scarf.

It's believed the man and woman had been to the cemetery just before they walked through the park.

Anyone with any information should call Pc 1836 Grant Hebblewhite on (0116) 222 22 22 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
