SATURDAY 5PM: Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspected assault in Syston.
The incident happened between 11.30pm on Sunday, August 24 and 12.50am on Monday, August 25 when the victim walked home from the Corner House pub on Melton Road.

The 21-year-old victim walked along Barkby Road, and when he arrived home he had injuries to his head and face.

He can't remember how he sustained the injuries and officers are looking into the possibility he was assaulted.

The man received treatment at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Pc Andy Oliver, of Syston local policing unit, said: "We're looking into the possibility the victim was assaulted. We're keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything."
