TUESDAY 8AM: Budding hacks and wannabe designers have launched a magazine at a Melton school.
A group of sixth formers at King Edward VII School started the online publication as they wanted experience in the competitive world of journalism.

Morgan McFie (17), who came up with the idea, said: "We didn't want it to be educational, it's more of a networking site with news, pictures and a tongue-in-cheek agony aunt. It's just a good chance to get some experience. There wasn't anything there before so we filled the gap."

The teenagers started working on the site in September and now it's just had its oficial launch.

It gives anyone in the sixth form a chance to write about any topic that tickles their fancy, from comment to news and everything in-between.

It also runs online art exhibitions, including paintings and photography, as well as competitions.

But the publication is a no-go area for teachers, designed, written and run entirely by the students.
