MONDAY 3PM: Belvoir High School has unveiled plans for a £100,000 vocational learning centre.
If the project wins favour with planners, the single storey centre would be in use by September. It would comprise teaching areas for horticulture and for hair and beauty and a small construction workshop.
It would replace a redundant rural science building at the Bottesford school.
Business manager Diane Wentworth said: "This has come about following our successful bid to become a specialist science school which has triggered £100,000 in capital funding from the Government.
"It will give us capacity to deliver vocational courses as well as academic ones as we develop into an 11 to 18 school."
