THURSDAY: A decade after his son's brutal murder, a father will return to a favourite fishing spot to plant a tree in his memory.

Mark Corley's body was found on a remote farm in County Durham after he was shot and killed in a gang-land style execution.

This weekend, dad Tony, of Asfordby, will plant a silver birch at Thornton Reservoir, west Leicestershire, where he used to fish with Mark.

Tony said: "We used to love going fishing there, it was a great spot. It's really peaceful now and brings back some really nice memories. It's the only place I'm truly happy these days and I feel really close to Mark."

Nobody has been brought to justice after a court case was thrown out because Lincolnshire Police illegally bugged the defendants' meetings with their lawyers.

Tony is still searching for justice and published a book last year called 'More Questions than Answers'.

He recently enlisted the help of a psychic after developing an interest in the paranormal and he appeared in a three-page spread in monthly magazine Take a Break's Fate & Fortune.

He said: "I know a lot of people don't believe in that sort of thing but there were some weird things going on.

"After Mark died the lights in my house kept flickering and a bulb started to smoulder and unscrewed itself. I had two electricians come out and they were baffled."

Fate and Fortune organised a psychic reading with medium Nicky Alan.

Tony was shocked by her results which the magazine printed in full.

She said Mark got in touch to tell her about the murder half an hour before she was due to speak to his dad.

She wrote: "I felt a terrible pain in the left side of my head. Although Mark gave me information on his killers, legal reasons stop me from repeating it here. 'I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time,' Mark admitted."

Mark also told his dad to move on, something he is struggling to do.

Tony said: "I'm still hoping for justice. If you offered me the jackpot on the lottery or Mark's killers brought to justice I would choose justice.

"I just don't think it will happen."
