THURSDAY NOON: Patients and friends of Melton's High Street Dental Care – including Tigers Captain Martin Corry and the reigning Miss England, Laura Coleman, helped mark its re-launch on Tuesday evening.
The practice, in a Grade II listed building, has had an extreme makeover resulting in a stylish new layout and colour scheme and the very latest technology. Patients and staff now benefit from a cutting edge environment which also prepares the practice for a new era in its development.

Principal dentist Dr Stefan Kaczmarczyk's vision for the future was to provide all the care his patients need under one roof. Dentistry was becoming ever more specialist, he said, and instead of referring patients elsewhere, he wanted them to have all their treatment at High Street Dental Care.

He has increased capacity from six to eight surgeries, each with its own flat screen TV, has created a central sterilisation room, a consultation room and improved facilities for the staff of more than 20.

After thanking his team, led by practice manager Amanda Braithwaite, for their support during the renovation, he wished Asfordby's Laura Coleman success when she competes in Miss World.

A competition to mark the refit was held for young patients and Martin Corry presented Louisa Day (12) with her prize.
Dr Kaczmarczyk said a dental practice had been in the same building for more than 80 years, treating generations of Melton families and it was now well placed to be caring for them well into the future.
