TUESDAY 8PM: Four women from Old Dalby will be pounding the streets of London in their decorated bras on Saturday night, joining thousands of other men and women on a moonwalk.
Beth and Anna Pollard, Louise Hutchinson and Lisa Farmer are taking part in this year's Playtex Moonwalk in memory of Kim Pollard who died in December.

Lisa, who is Kim's sister, will be proudly walking with Kim's two daughters Beth and Anna and c
lose friend Louise.

The 26.2-mile walk begins at midnight with the united goal to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research and cancer care.

Lisa, who took part in the event two years ago, said: "Having Kim in mind and the support from Louise who is walking with me spurred me on to do this again. It's also the weekend of Kim's birthday which makes it even more poignant.

"Kim would be really happy that money is still being raised as she herself raised £2,000 before her death in December."

The ladies will be among the 15,000 men and women taking part in the 11th Playtex London Moonwalk. Last year the event raised more than £8.5 million towards fighting breast cancer with organisers hoping to beat that this year.

Lisa added: "It's just a massive event. We've been training since about October and training regularly since Christmas. One of the things we did was walk around Rutland Water. It's a tough event but we're ready for the challenge."

Anyone who would like to sponsor the ladies can call Lisa on (01664) 822331. For more information about the event log on to www.walkthewalk.org
