A COFFEE morning with a twist raised more than £120 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care.
Rebecca Price held the event recently at her home in Cotswold Close where they knitted a blanket for the charity.
She said: "We were just a few squares short of a blanket at the start of the morning and so we made one square where everyone who attended the coffee morning knitted at least a couple of stitches."
The national scheme saw top international fashion designers creating patterns for groups to knit which will be used by the charity.
At the coffee morning there were also raffle prizes with gifts donated from several businesses.
The finishing touches to the blanket were made by members of Melton knitting and crochet group which holds a meeting on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in 10 Cotswold Close and the third Monday from 10am at 30 Eastfield Avenue.
