The entente cordiale is alive and well after two world music choirs from either side of the English Channel performed together twice.
Global Harmony welcomed Canta Koume from the Loire Valley for five days of fun and fellowship which saw the choirs sing to a near sell-out audience at Melton Theatre and then again at the bandstand in New Park.

The hosts then gave their visitors a great send off by organising a barn dance at Asfordby Parish Hall.

Brenda Smith, of Global Harmony, said: "We had an amazing time. We sang, danced, ate and drank together and planning for a return trip next summer is already under way.

"The next big thing for us though is to take part in Sing The Nation in Walthamstow on August 24 when Beijing officially hands over the Olympic baton to London for the 2012 games."

* Excerpts from the choir's recent concerts are soon to appear on its website www.globalharmony.co.uk
