THURSDAY 6PM: Caring pupils at St Mary's Primary, Melton, created a coin map of Haiti to send a donation to the Unicef Haiti Earthquake Children's Appeal.
A map was drawn on the hall floor and children from each class helped to fill it with spare change.
Parent volunteers counted it all up and proceeds from the weekly cake raffle were then added to give a final total of £432.38.
Headteacher Sharon Deackes said: "We are delighted with the fantastic sum raised. There was great excitement as each child placed their coins on our giant map of Haiti knowing that their money would make a difference to the children affected by the earthquake."
