Thousands of people made the most of the recent warm spell by spending the day at Bottesford Gala.
Families had lots to do and see, from taking part in the tug of war contests and egg races, to browsing more than 50 stalls and watching the antics of Punch and Judy.

A clown wandered around entertaining children and dog-lovers enjoyed all-day dog shows, in which more than 60 dogs competed.

Kathryn Hinsliff-Smith, an event organiser, said: "It was phenomenal, an amazing day. Everybody seemed to really enjoy it and the weather was a fantastic bonus. Around 3,000 people came this year, which is more than last year."

May Queen Millie Paine and her attendants Hannah Dixon and Tegan Williams led the parade through the village in an open-top Rolls Royce, plus Millie had the honour of cutting the gala's 30th birthday cake.

The gala was organised by Bottesford's Gala Committee with the support of the Vale of Belvoir Lions.
