FRIDAY 10.30AM: Police have appealed for witnesses after a fatal collision in Asfordby.
The incident happened at about 6.52pm on New Year's Eve in Station Lane.
The collision involved one vehicle, a blue Ford Focus. The driver, Robert David Hayes (18), of Melton, received fatal injuries.
Pc Gary Mundy, who is investigating this collision, said: "The vehicle was travelling along Station Lane towards the A607 when it was in collision with a tree.
"We would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle prior to the collision to please get in touch."
