TUESDAY 4PM
A new guide to encourage adults to get active this summer has been launched.
It details the different physical activity sessions that adults can take part in, from cycling to dance and table tennis to walking.

Councillor Pam Posnett, lead member for health on Melton Council, said: "It is a fact that one in four people in Melton are obese and hopefully, given that statistic, adults will be encouraged to take part in some exercise as keeping fit and healthy is so important. There really is something for everyone."

The guide has been produced by Active Melton, part of a county-wide initiative supported by the council which aims to get adults taking part in physical activity for 30 minutes on three or more days a week.

* For more information on the project or to get hold of a copy of the activity guide, please email fgibson@melton.gov.uk or call 0750 097 5633.
