FRIDAY 12.15PM: A special charity golf day at Stapleford Park was a great success on Thursday.
Elite Fitness Group was raising as much money as possible for the Matt Hampson Trust and Melton Mowbray Mencap.

It cost £250 per fourball which included a welcome broeakfast, 18 holes of golf on the superb Stapleford course, a golfers' buffet, trick shot demonstration from trick shot king Jeremy Dale and auction.

Special guests included Leicester Tigers Geordan Murphy - fresh from the World Cup - Andy Goode and Matt Cornwell.

The competition prizes and auction lots included sporting memorabilia donated by the Tigers, former England captain Martin Johnson and young English golf star Justin Rose.

There was also a week's holiday in the Alps up for grabs along with a £200 golf break voucher, a round of golf at Stapleford with Jeremy Dale, a Scotty Cameron putter, meals at fine dining restaurants, a weekend break at Stapleford, with unlimited golf bed and breakfast and evening dinner, and golf clothing.
