VIDEO!!!MONDAY 5PM: A woman escaped with only minor injuries when her car ended up on its side on a busy Melton street.
Ambulance crews were called to the incident on the corner of Sherrard Street and Burton Street at about 4.20pm on Monday.

They found the red Peugeot tipped on its right hand side close to a set of railings and treated the unnammed woman for cuts and bruises.

Police directed traffic and ensured the road stayed open until a recovery vehicle arrived to tow the car away.

Ilene Palmer, who works at Kidzone close to the scene of the accident, said: "I just heard a crunch and looked up and thought 'my god what's happened'. It's a good job she's ok.

"There was another accident on the same corner the other week when someone ended up right in the barriers."

Police confirmed only one vehicle and the driver was involved in the crash and said no-one had been arrested.
