A series of Buggy Walks around Melton’s parks have helped keep young children and their parents entertained and healthy this summer.

The walks which were organised by Melton Borough Council were part of the county wide ‘Active Together’ programme designed to encourage physical activity.

Those who took part were invited to bring their own picnic and explore routes around Melton Country Park and Wilton Park.

As part of the ‘Active Together’ programme a new group called Pushy Mums has also started which is Buggy Fitness for mums and their young children. Pushy Mums meet weekly on a Friday, from (9.30am-10.30am) and move around Wilton Park, starting at the bandstand.

The cost of a session is £1, with numbers varying between 11-18 mums, depending on the weather and holiday periods.
