Brenda Munton sent in this picture which depicts some of the year six Swallowdale Primary School pupils on their first visit to a brand new Long Field High School, which was due to open in the autumn term of 1982.
She said: “I was a teacher at Swallowdale.
“I recall the children being very excited but also a little nervous.”
