Leisure centre wins top award

MYSTERY customers have hailed a Syston leisure centre as ‘excellent’ after the venue was one of the country’s top scorers for visits in 2012.

South Charnwood Leisure Centre, run by Charnwood Council in partnership with Fusion Lifestyle, reached the top of the benchmarking table following a visit last year by the national leisure standards assessment scheme Quest.

Quest conducted the visit last year and scored the Syston centre ‘excellent’ in all areas including cleanliness, customer service and activities undertaken.
