Couple excited by new coffee shop venture

ANOTHER coffee shop has opened in Melton but the couple who run it say they are offering something different.
Mark and Janine Cook opened More Coffee Co for business on Friday pledging to give customers consistently good coffee and homemade food using ingredients from local suppliers.
“We are very proud of our coffee,” said Mark, who previously worked in restaurant management.
“Our supplier roasts our coffee beans to order and we grind our coffee beans to order so the customer gets a much fresher cup than they might have been used to.”
South African-born Janine makes the food fresh and customers can buy it as a takeout. The Market Place cafe also offers free wifi internet access and newspapers plus baby changing facilities.
Melton now has 90 establishments offering food and drink but the Cooks are confident they can compete. “Because of out-of-town malls and internet shopping people now come into a town centre more to socialise so there is a need for coffee shops,” Mark added.
