SKYFALL (12A)

With James Bond (Daniel Craig) reportedly killed in action, section chief M (Dame Judi Dench) pens an obituary as a political storm rages around her. A database of MI6 assets has fallen into the wrong hands, compromising undercover agents around the world.

This dereliction of duty puts M  and chief of staff Bill Tanner (Rory  Kinnear) in the firing line and they are summoned to Westminster.

When news filters through that Bond has survived M engages her physically bruised agent and field agent Eve (Naomie Harris) to track down menacing cyber terrorist Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem) and the  mysterious Severine (Berenice Marlohe).

FRANKENWEENIE 3D (PG)

Victor Frankenstein (voiced by  Charlie Tahan) is an outcast in the sleepy community of New Holland, where he lives with his parents. His only friend is the family’s bull terrier Sparky, who has a crush on Persephone, the pampered poodle that lives next door with his classmate Elsa Van Helsing (Winona Ryder).

When tragedy strikes and Sparky is laid to rest in the pet cemetery, Victor is plunged into despair. Then teacher Mr Rzykruski (Martin  Landau) plants the seed of an outlandish idea. “Science is not good or bad, Victor, but it can be used both ways.”

In the dead of night, the boy digs up Sparky, constructs a machine to harness lightning and the dog is reborn. Once his classmates discover Victor’s breakthrough, they plot similar experiments with their pets.
