A MELTON Christmas wouldn't be quite right without Trevonne's annual pantomime at Melton Theatre and this year it will be staging Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood.
There will be 10 shows in all from Saturday, December 5 to the following Saturday with three matinees including one on the Sunday for the first time, but as usual tickets are selling fast so those who delay may well be disappointed.

The Trevonne tradition now stretches back 31 years and once again the biggest stars of the show will be the littlest from the dance and stage school. Can they, with the help of Robin and his Merry Men, evade the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham and his henchmen, Rough and Ready?

Trevor Makins of Trevonne said: "The rehearsal schedule is hectic but everything is going well and we look forward to welcoming thousands of Melton people to this year's show for some traditional panto fun.

"We've got a wonderful main cast and panto dame, some sparkling choreography, wonderful set, music and lighting show and, of course, all the babes.

"There's a bit of everything in the show which is perhaps makes it so popular and tickets are selling fast."

* To secure your seats call the box office on (01664) 851111 or Act One on (01664) 566000.
