OLIVER Parker and Barnaby Thompson share the director's chair in St Trinian's 2 (PG), the sequel to their 2007 comedy, set in one of Britain's most notorious schools, where the girls wield hockey sticks like weapons and take no prisoners on and off the pitch.
Unconventional headmistress Camilla Fritton (a cross-dressing Rupert Everett) encourages her girls to express themselves as they see fit, while continuing to pursue her old flame, stuffy Government minister Geoffrey Thwaites (Colin Firth).

Meanwhile, a women-hating secret society known as AD1 intends to put the girls of St Trinian's in their place, led by the villainous Pomfrey (David Tennant).

Thankfully, head girl Annabelle (Talulah Riley) and her sisters in uniformed chaos are more than a match for their detractors.

When the girls learn about a cache of priceless, buried treasure belonging to the Fritton family, they race against sworn rivals to unearth the loot.

* Today (Thursday) is your last chance to see Nativity! (U), an improvised comedy starring Martin Freeman, and rites of passage film An Education (12A) set in Swinging Sixties London.
