Festival-goers of all ages enjoyed a fantastic three days of music and entertainment including eagerly-awaited headline performances from bands including The Charlatans, The Zutons and Idlewild.
But there was so much more for revellers to enjoy in
cluding a whole host of other established and emerging music acts performing on various stages, comedy tent, silent discos, film screenings, real ale tent, family activities plus much more.
And unlike last year the weather was nice and sunny, with music lovers able to enjoy a welcome drink and bite to eat in the sunshine.
Friday night's headliners The Streets had to cancel due to a bout of swine flu but Scottish indie rockers Idlewild ably stepped up to the plate.
Other crowd pleasing performances came from bands including The Mystery Jets and Ska revival band The Beat also pulled in crowds to the indoor stage rounding off the opening night.
I was looking forward to seeing indie favourites The Charlatans rolling back the years on Saturday night and the headliners duly delivered.
Crowd pleasers belted out included The Only One I Know, North Country Boy, Weirdo and others, the only disappointment for me being that they didn't play for longer.
Another band to catch the eye on Saturday was Bombay Bicycle Club, performing at Summer Sundae on the back of their performance at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
Admittedly I didn't know much about the band but the long queues stretching back from the merchandise signing tent afterwards was a clear sign of their popularity.
It was another jam-packed day on Sunday with a host of music acts to please all tastes.
Feeling nostalgic I was looking forward to seeing the Lightning Seeds and New Beautiful South who, for me, were the most impressive band I saw - really striking a chord with the crowd with their uplifting performance.
Elsewhere on the main stage The Zutons were rocking the crowd as the festival drew to a close.
Among the many thousands of revellers enjoying this year's festival were couple Adele Smith (43) and Darren Davidson (41) from Langwarrin, Victoria, Australia.
An impressed Miss Smith said: "It's really well organised and there's a really good variety of music. There's something for everyone and it really brings the community together."
Mr Davidson added: "It's my first-ever festival and we've really enjoyed it.
