CHARITY concert Applause Somewhere, at Melton Theatre on Saturday, June 27, will whisk you on a tour around the world without the hassle of airline check-ins.
It will feature songs from great shows starting in London (Jekyll and Hyde), France (Les Miserables) and Greece (Mamma Mia) before dropping in on Heaven (Joseph), Vietnam (Miss Saigon), Brazil (Copacabana), Texas (Best Little Whorehouse), San Francisco (Flower Drum Song), New York (Lullaby of Broadway and New York, New York) and many more places besides.
The show will be performed by a great company made up of members from the Melton Musical Theatre Company and some of the best performers from around the county with 'tour guides' Monica Winfield, Martin Ballard and Dave Andrews of BBC Radio Leicester and 'tour operator' musical director Tony Rifugiato.
Tickets cost £10. Call the box office on (01664) 851111. Proceeds will be split between Special Olympics Leicester, Age Concern, the Matthew Fulham Foundation (for young musicians) and Melton firefighters' Trumpton charity.
