THE finishing touches are being put to Gasleak's new production The Ragged Child, a compelling musical drama which will enjoy a run at Melton Theatre from October 15-18.
The piece is set against the background of the efforts of Lord Shaftesbury and other philanthropists to alleviate the appalling suffering of the children of London in the 1850s, and centres in particular on one such child, Joseph Cooper, and his sister Annie.
Tickets cost £12 (concessions and Saturday matinee tickets 2pm). Call the box office on (01664) 851111 or visit www.gasleaktheatrecompany.co.uk
