Rutland Railway Museum's model railway and engineering show is on Sunday and Monday.
Centred on its historic single track locomotive shed which came from the ironstone quarry at Woolsthorpe, the show will feature model railway layouts, displays and traders, engineering models and miniature railway rides.

On the standard gauge track will be popular rides with the driver as well as diesel and steam demonstration freight operations.

On Sunday, the museum will demonstrate its unusual vertical boiler steam locomotive Sentinel No 7 which, with its diesel-like appearance, is one of the few of its type to remain operational. On Monday, war veteran locomotive Singapore bows out after 10 years service for overhaul.

The show is open from 11am until 5pm on both days, and a family ticket costs £12. For information call (01572) 813203 or visit www.rutlandrailwaymuseum.org.uk
